About Juan Rivas Santisteban

I studied Biology at the University of Cordoba. I decided at that time to try to solve the mysteries of evolutionary biology that we have not yet unravelled.

I did a master's degree in biotechnology and functional biology in Alcalá de Henares University, carrying out a project at the Centre for Astrobiology that involved working with many DNA sequences from samples of extreme environments. I am currently working on my doctoral thesis involving microbiome analysis and fine annotation at the Centro Nacional de Biotecnología, Madrid. 

I have many other interests related to art and philosophy. I also write as a populariser and as a consultant for private or public entities.
